One way to see Ukraine is by air there are a number of regional airports linking the capital. Flight are few and far between and can be expensive. Driving can be a challenge, the roads are in a poor state, so it takes a long time and is not easy. Taking a train, however, is much more fun and with a good rail system (if somewhat ancient) in place, you can get around cheaply and in good comfort. This time we take a 13 hour night train in First Class from Kyiv to Ivano-Frankivsk, Not only was it a wonderful experience but at £30 for two people for a cabin, its a great cheap way to travel at night. You have room to sleep in and arrive ready for your next adventures in a new part of the country. We could not recommend this enough!
